My Son’s Cooking and Food Photos

Benj loves to create...and has now found a way to enjoy both cooking and photography.

Here's what he made for lunch recently. A chicken and veggie stir fry.

At 9 he was baking cookies.

At 10 he was inventing new combinations for smoothies.

And now, at 11, he will frequently cook dinner, creating new ideas that I would never have even thought of.

Sure I still tell him not to cook unless I'm near the kitchen and can keep an eye on him or any potential emergencies, but he really can do it quite well on his own. Chopping, using pots and pans, knowing the correct amount of heat to cook with, and having an excellent palate for knowing what ingredients and spices can be used together to create something delicious.

And then, before he eats it, he likes to take pictures of it and has become quite the food photographer!
