My Weekend Adventures

I love hanging out in Monmouth and Ocean Counties with my boys. Once again, it was an action-packed weekend!

Friday evening we headed to the Wall Municipal Complex for the Skillz and Drillz soccer clinic that's part of the Wall Rec spring soccer program. It was a beautiful evening for hanging out in the grass watching Benjamin practice. I ran into Kate from Goodsports and Greg from OMG frozen yogurt. He and his wife were the ones walking the Golden Retriever that was wearing a t-shirt...too cute!

Early Saturday morning the boys and I made a stop around the block to help pump up the crowd and give away some Point Prizes at our PTO's first annual Moms Rock Run in Manasquan. (This picture is from the kid's warm-up with Susie from the Atlantic Club for their fun run.)

From there we headed back to Wall for Benj's soccer game. His team did really well and scored a couple of goals (thanks Coach J!). Considering the bad cold I had been fighting it probably wasn't such a good idea to be yelling so loud.....but I had to cheer....I'm a soccer mom!

After that Christopher wanted to spend some time at Freehold Raceway Mall. The three of us spent a few hours strolling around some of their favorite stores (Gamestop, the Apple Store, and Marbles...along with lunch and ice cream at Friendly's.)

Then we drove down to Sea Girt beach. It was literally a picture-postcard kind of afternoon there. We played frisbee in the sand and ran into some friends, including Susan from Brooke 35 in Sea Girt who was there with her little boy.

Saturday evening my girlfriend and I let our boys have a Gee Gee's pizza party at my house while we had some girl-time at the Riverhouse in Brielle, sitting out on the water and talking for a while with Kim from The Bee.

We then headed over to Marlin's Cafe to watch my friend Joe Battista's band "Surecats" play (once the hockey game ended!) They were awesome : )

The boys played outside Sunday with the crowd of kids that live on our street. The weather was warm enough for them all to get soaked in water gun/water balloon fights....a great afternoon for the kids!

What is missing from this story? Oh yeah...my Mother's Day...spent catching up on laundry! Like I said....it was a great weekend for the KIDS!
