Nancy Reamy’s Husband Saves a Dog’s Life

Our morning show traffic girl, Nancy Reamy, happened to spot a dog that had jumped into the Toms River and her husband managed to save him!

Nancy and Chris were enjoying their morning coffee on Saturday when she spotted the dog. They tried to get to him before he jumped in, but it wasn't until he was halfway into the cold Toms River that Chris managed to kayak out there...just in time to save him. The poor dog was absolutely exhausted.

Chris managed to lift the soaking wet 50-or-so pound dog into the kayak without tipping and got him back to shore. Nancy had called the police and animal control was there waiting.

It turns out the dog got out of it's home and had been skunked and scared all night long...and was so spooked that he jumped into the river.

The owners now have their precious dog back, and Chris and Nancy are heroes. Thanks for that heroic rescue!!! You two are awesome!
