In a recent publication, New Jersey was named one of the top 5 states to live in in the United States.

New Jersey residents are used to being in the top 5 for many things. What we're not used to is being in the top five of a list where it's good to be in the top 5. And that is exactly what happened this time around.

New Jersey was named one of the top 5 states in America to live in by 24/7 Wall St.. After all the bad publicity we seem to get about just about everything, you might wonder how this is even possible.

Well, according to the publication, here's how it all happened. They looked at factors such as access to health care facilities like doctors and dentists, access to areas for physical activity, household income and life expectancy (80.3 years by the way)

The only states that ranked higher are, in order from 4 to 1, are Colorado, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

So, for all the bad publicity we seem to get, and after all the bad top 5's or bottom 5's we've been in, we'll take this one! Congratulations Garden State!
