New Jersey Represented In Guinness Book Of World Records

New Jersey is represented in the Guinness Book of World Records, but it's not for most hairspray or most unbelievable reality show. It's all about ice cream.

Search "New Jersey" at the Guinness website and you'll see a picture of the man who holds the world record for longest continuous service driving an ice cream truck. His name...Charlie D'Angelo of Clifton New Jersey and he was an ice cream man for 30 straight years, ending in 2009 when he retired.

Northjersey.com did an article on him in January 2012, saying he was spending his retirement enjoying arts and crafts. Charlie started his ice cream truck record run when he took over an ice cream truck after he retired in order to keep busy. That was 1979.  30 years, and a world record later, he retired in 2009.
