Two Newark men are placed under arrest at a traffic stop on River Avenue in Lakewood after officers found a stolen gun and marijuana in their car on Wednesday around 8:00 am.

Lakewood Police say Teriq D. Moore, 25, and Davon J. Reid, 28, were pulled over due to the way they were driving, but it hasn't been disclosed what they did exactly that led to the traffic stop.

When the Lakewood Police Department's Street Crimes and Crime Suppression Units conducted the traffic stop a search of the the vehicle and its occupants led to the recovery of Marijuana, a firearm and magazine loaded with a hollow point bullet.

Police say the firearm was stolen out of Florida.

Reid and Moore were both charged with Possession of Marijuana over 50-grams as well as multiple weapons violations.

Reid was also charged as a certain person not to possess weapons based on a previous conviction.

They were both lodged at the Ocean County Correctional Facility pending a first appearance.
