Freehold and Monmouth Mall Stores to Close

A large children's clothing store has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced they are closing 350 stores. Three of them are in Monmouth County. 

Add children's clothing and accessory retailer Gymboree to the long list of retailers who have had major store closings this year.

It was made official today that the Gymboree locations in the Monmouth Mall and Brook 35 & West in Sea Girt will be closing their doors.

The clothing company Crazy 8 which is operated by Gymboree and located in Freehold Raceway Mall will also be shutting its doors.

Other New Jersey stores that will be closing include:

• Menlo Park Mall in Edison
• The Shops at Riverside in Hackensack
• Hamilton Mall in Mays Landing
• The Shoppes at Hamilton
• The Mall at Short Hills
