NJ Uber Drivers Can Now Get Free College Tuition

Uber is offering their NJ drivers some quality perks.

In an announcement made Thursday, Uber said that drivers who act as "independent contractors" will start to be eligible for rewards based on their driver ratings and cancellation history.

The benefits of this program range from gas discounts to free online college courses.

As part of the Uber Pro program, drivers that keep a 4.85-star rating and low cancellation rate will collect points that put them in different reward categories like gold, platinum, and diamond.

Uber drivers in the platinum and diamond categories are eligible for tuition toward online courses at Arizona State University. Uber added that the tuition benefit can also be passed to some family members.
