After all the talk of pumping our own gas in New Jersey, it looks like that will not be happening any time soon.

In a recent poll taken here at 943thepoint.com, nearly two thirds of residents in Monmouth and Ocean Counties said they had no interest in pumping their own gas, and it seems that those people won't have to worry about it.

Senate President Steve Sweeney who has the ability to simply block the bill will do that, so that it never even get voted on, according to northjersey.com. Sweeney says his opposition is due in part to the concern over job losses.

So, whether you were a self-serve person, or a "Jersey girls don't pump gas" kind of girl, it looks like the controversy has come to an end before it really started
