The decision on whether an inspirational Brick High school football player with Autism can play another season is still up in the air.

According to NJ.com, the NJSIAA Eligibility Committee made no decision on whether to grant Green Dragon Place-Kicker Anthony Starego a waiver Tuesday. The matter has been passed to the Eligibility Appeals Committee for a March 11th hearing.

Starego needs a waiver because he turns 19 in June and he's already competed in the maximum eight consecutive semesters. His father Ray argues that Anthony's participation benefits his growth and inspires other autistic athletes.

Starego became a national story last season when he kicked a winning field goal for Brick against Toms River North.
