The rumors continue in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

After a temporary power outage at a water treatment plant in Asbury Park, residents were told a complete water ban was in effect.

The outage has been repaired and the treatment plant is now back on city power.

Residents are still being asked to CONSERVE water in conjunction with the state conservation plan, but a full-on ban is not in effect.

The best way to conserve water? Be smart, and use common sense. Don't wash your car, water your lawn, or take excessively long showers. Don't run the dishwasher until it is full. Don't keep the water running while brushing your teeth.

These little things add up and can make a difference.

It's also important to keep the rumors at bay. There is no need to cause panic in this difficult time.
