According to APP, this passageway will be used to transfer inmates from Ocean County jail to the courthouse. Sounds pretty straight forward, right? Wrong.

This reported renovation will include what many describe as a "secret tunnel" below the courtyard. The installation of hidden passageways, a private elevator and new holding cells are all part of the improvements.

While Ocean County Administrator Carl W. Block told APP that he's not fond of calling it a "secret tunnel," he told a reporter that "you wouldn't want to get lost down there."

When members of the press were taken on a tour, no photos were permitted. For the safety of officers and inmates, specific layouts have been withheld from the public.

I don't know about you, but I'm really curious to get a tour! See more, here.
