Mantoloking dunes breached following Christmas storm
During this week's nor'easter, the Atlantic Ocean breached in 7 areas from Lyman to Downer in Mantoloking. Ocean water pushed through and brought large amounts of water and debris onto route 35. The wind then moved from NE to SW, calming the ocean down, but bringing significant bay side flooding (Ocean County Police Blotter via Facebook)
