Heavy rains have caused a lot of flooding on some major Monmouth and Ocean County roadways.

UPDATE (1:30 PM): The Garden State Parkway has reopened northbound at exit 90, but heavy delays remain back to the Toms River tolls.

-------------------

Many area roadways are flooded, like Rt. 71 in Asbury Park and Manasquan, Chambersbridge Rd. in Brick, Rt. 35 in Aberdeen and Point Pleasant, and other local roads throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties are also seeing a lot of standing water.

The Garden State Parkway reportedly has all lanes closed on the northbound side at exit 90 in Brick due to flooding, causing extensive delays. That area has seen a lot of flooding issues since construction began.

As always, please remember not to drive through standing water, as it may be much deeper than it appears.

Stay off the roadways today if you can, and feel free to let us know about any traffic incidents or problems anytime at 732-988-POINT (7646) or here at 943thepoint.com, and on our Facebook page.
