The whole weekend will be packed with fun ways to see these speed boats up close and personal before the big races! Rain or shine!

First off, regardless of the weather, these boats will race rain or shine come Sunday. After all, as they mayor says, they are used to the water, LOL!

It's the 2018 Point Pleasant Beach Offshore Grand Prix, and these boats are loud and fast!

If you're driving down Rt. 35 through Point Beach, you may catch a glimpse of them arriving throughout the day today (Friday) as they head into #10 Railroad lot on Arnold Ave. and Rt. 35 North.

Starting this evening (Fri., May 18th), you can bring your kids to see these power boats on display on Arnold Ave. starting at 5 pm. The street will be closed off so that you can walk around with your family and take some photos!

Then tomorrow evening (Sat., May 19th), at 5 pm, watch for the boat parade down Arnold Ave. to Ocean Avenue and then to the Inlet.

The morning of race day, (Sun., May 20th), get up early (around 8 am) and watch the giant cranes lower these incredible monster speed boats into the inlet around Broadway near Ken's Landing.

Then, it's time to choose your spot to view the races. If you gather at the Inlet at about 11:30 am, you will see the boats leave the inlet and begin to pick up speed for the race, which officially begins in the ocean in front of Jenkinson's. The boats race to Bay Head and back and you can see them if you are anywhere along the sand in that area.

The two races begin at noon and 2 pm.

A fun time, for sure!
