The annual Crop Walk is a great way to raise awareness about hunger and collect food for those in need.

The Red Bank Crop Walk is this Sunday, Oct. 19th, to raise awareness about hunger both locally and globally, to collect donations for local food banks, and to raise money to help combat hunger. The 5-mile Walk/Run, to help end hunger one step at a time, begins at 2 pm (Registration is at 1 pm at Red Bank Regional High School). There will also be lots of activities, fun, and music for the whole family. In fact, for those that can't go long distances, the event begins with a short stroll to Eastside Park.

Trinity Hall is using the Crop Walk as a lesson to their students on hunger and will once again be participating in this annual event. Teens met over the summer and worked on a presentation for the Crop Walk kick-off. Students at the school have collected peanut butter, rice and beans in a contest to see who could collect the most food. And during the Crop Walk, volleyball team members are participating in the Lug-a-Jug brigade to carry water, reminding them of the length women must walk in order to obtain water in many parts of the world.  The school is also participating in the banner contest. Great lessons for our youth!
