Regular NFL Referees Could Return This Week
After Monday night's mess with Green Bay and the mounting frustration from players, coaches, and fans about the horrific calls by replacement refs so far this season...the regular refs could return as soon as this week.
ESPN reports, 'The NFL and the NFL Referees Association made enough progress in negotiations Tuesday night that the possibility of the locked-out officials returning in time to work this week's games has been discussed, according to sources on both sides.'
If the last sticking point is really all about money, would it hurt the NFL to throw the refs a few more bucks to save the integrity of the league and the sport?
I don't watch the NFL too often, but even I know that Green Bay got robbed. (Aren't you glad now that sports betting isn't legal in Jersey yet?)
The NFL makes an obscene amount of money every year...the least they can do is give their fans a good product.
