Russell Brand Addresses Katy Perry Divorce Rumors, Talks Sophia Grace on ‘Ellen’

Katy Perry‘s new hubby and comical actor, Russell Brand, visits the set of ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ Friday afternoon (Dec. 2), and one of the topics addressed during his couch time was the recent rumors surrounding his marriage to the singing superstar.

“[Katy] should’ve told me … There are always rumors, aren’t there?” Brand says to DeGeneres. “In the end, you have to just not engage with Internet technology. I’ve treated the whole Internet now like it’s a wicked little liar. I am really happily married.

“Being famous is like a little bit of you is taken away and goes off and lives on it’s own and does what it wants,” Brand continues. “I wish it would do more interesting things. I don’t know what he’s doing — the other me — but I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge … And I’m still alive.”

Brand adds that things are going so well that the two have been discussing adding to their family of two soon. “I would like one [baby] … I love those little babies in the beginning,” he says. “They’re so lovely in that bit. Me and Katy are godparents to two twin boys. They’re called Sam and Donovan. They are just a year old. At first they were boring. They were just essentially little fluid factories … Generating fluids. No regard for what I was wearing. Now, they are interesting. They smile and look at me, so I can learn from them.”

While on the topic of kids, Brand also talked about meeting YouTube sensation Sophia Grace, who he and Perry have become quite fond of over the past several months. A clip of Brand and DeGeneres talking about the young singer can be viewed below.
