Sand Sculptor’s Newest Project to Benefit Hometown Heroes
Ed Jarrett, the sculptor behind 'Sandycastle - the World's Tallest Sandcastle' has a new project in the works to benefit Hometown Heroes, the charity organization that recently lost their office and its contents to a fire.
'Boardwalk Journey' will be a sand museum with more than 5,000 square feet of sand sculptures depicting the history of boardwalks at the Jersey Shore.
The money will come from the various sponsorship opportunities available.
It's expected to open THIS weekend, but Jarrett needs volunteers to help him move a million pounds of sand to make it happen.
If you'd like to help, visit the Boardwalk Journey tent at the corner of North Ocean Ave. and N Street between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Just e-mail Ed first at tallestsandcastle@gmail.com to let him know you are coming.
It's a very cool way to kick off the summer and help give back to an amazing local organization in need!
