Donations have been pouring into Monmouth and Ocean Counties in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and some places are now overwhelmed with the supplies coming in.

I spoke to Jason, a Sea Bright fireman, today, and he says they have more than enough donations, especially when it comes to food.

He asks anyone who was planning to bring donations and supplies to Sea Bright to instead bring them to Thompson Park (805 Newman Springs Road/Rt 520) in Lincroft.

That is a designated drop-off point for donations to Monmouth County shelters, and they are set up to distribute the donations to the places that need it.

Jason says it's a good problem to have a full stock of donations, but their first responders want to focus now on the emergency calls still coming in.

He reminds everyone that Sea Bright is still closed to non-emergency personnel at this time.
