Commuters who take the ferry into NYC will have to fork over even more money for tickets soon.

Starting Monday, July 25th, Seastreak will increase their fare prices by three percent.

NJ.com reports the extra funds will be use for projects including overhauling four boats.

Commuters who currently pay $655 for a 40-trip pass will soon have to pay $675, while single round trip tickets go from $45 to $46.

The Seastreak ferry leaves out of Atlantic Highlands and Highlands. There are no plans at this point to increase ticket prices on the NY Waterway ferry out of Belford, which currently charges $645 for a 40-trip pass, or $635 for a monthly pass.
