It's prime festival season at the Jersey Shore. From Italian feasts to Oktoberfest to traditional parades. There's a ton to do in Monmouth & Ocean counties over the next couple of months. Here's a breakdown.

  • Red Bank Street Fair & Art Show - Sunday, September 10

    Located in Downtown Red Bank, look for more than 200 artists, crafters, and vendors. Free admission and parking.

    11am-5pm

  • 40th Annual Festival of the Sea - Saturday, September 16 - Pt. Pleasant Beach

    Sample dishes area restaurants. Chow down on everything from clam chowder to lobster to steak. There will be arts & crafts, pony rides, and hundreds of vendors. This fest has been voted "Best Seafood Festival in Ocean County year after year.

  • Belmar Feast of San Gennaro - Saturday & Sunday September 16 & 17

    Authentic Italy in Belmar. Enjoy live music, parades, a mass, and local Italian favorites on Main Street in Belmar between 10th and 13th. Did I mention zeppoles!

  • 9th Annual Que by the Sea BBQ Festival & Competition - Friday September 22 - Sunday September 24 - Seaside Heights

    The festival includes BBQ & retail vendors, live music, and beer and wine.

    The main Kansas City Barbeque Society competition will be held on Sunday. Competitors will choose to compete in four categories, chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. The winner will be chosen by a team of judges based on appearance, taste, and tenderness. $13,000 is up for grabs!

  • 8th Annual Red Bank Guinness Oyster Festival - Sunday, September 24

    This event showcases Red Bank's excellent restaurants and Guinness. Wine and light beers will be available too. It's a family friendly culinary feast with live music on two stages. Look for all the activities in the White Street parking lot. Admission is $5 for anyone over age 10. Noon - 7 pm. Rain Date: October 1.

  • 2nd Annual Seaside Heights Oktoberfest - Saturday & Sunday September 30 & October 1

    Oktoberfest kicks off on Saturday at 11 am with the Tapping of the Keg on the Boulevard between Webster and Dupont.

    The rest of the weekend, enjoy seasonal craft beer tastings, great bands, authentic German food, crafters, beer garden, food trucks, and a kids zone.

    Patrons are limited one tasting session per day. Tasting session options are 12pm-2:30 pm and 3:30pm-6 pm each day.

  • Highlands 16th Annual Oktoberfest - Saturday, October 7

    Highland's Oktoberfest at Veteran's Park is modeled on the traditional Munich, Germany Oktoberfest. Enjoy authentic German food, live music, dancing, and entertainment. Festivities will include a "Best Dressed Contest" and a "Beer Stein Holding Contest" with special prizes. Admission and parking for the event are free.

  • Ocean County Columbus Day Parade & Italian Festival - Friday, October 6-Sunday, October 8 - Seaside Heights

    The Italian Festival is a 3-day event on The Boulevard and Grant Ave. It includes food, entertainment, crafts, merchandise and children's activities.

    The Columbus Day Parade is on The Boulevard on Sunday, October 8 at 1 pm.

  • Belmar Octoberfest - Saturday, October 8

    Join the fun with a German beer garden, food vendors, a stein hoisting contest, and live music. It happens on Main Street between 8th & 10th.

  • Delicious Orchards Pumpkin Fest - Sunday, October 9 - Colts Neck

    Celebrate all things pumpkin! Pumpkin Fest is a family-friendly event with live music, games, food samples, and more

  • Brick Fall Fest - Saturday, October 14

    Come to Windward Beach Park for food trucks, a beer & wine garden, and fireworks to wrap up the day.

  • Thompson Park Day - Sunday, October 15 - Lincroft

    Enjoy pumpkin painting, a scarecrow contest, wagon rides, kids' races, entertainment and the 'Strut Your Mutt' doggie costume contest all at Thompson Park!
