Shakira Lets Her Boyfriend Put Restrictions on Her

Would you let your significant other tell you what you can and cannot do?

Shakira is on the cover the new issue of Billboard.  She has also revealed that her boyfriend Gerard Pique, the Spanish soccer star who is also her son’s father, has put one restriction on her regarding her career.

She says “He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women."

Shakira says It’s more than implied in their relationship that she can’t do videos like she used to;

But she then goes on to admit that she LIKES that her man is so possessive. She says she likes that it's out of the question for him. She says "I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.”

Shakira is a mom and family woman now, with son Milan, 1, the ultimate priority in her life.

But she also loves her career and won’t give it up.

“Sometimes I yearn to stay at home with Gerard and Milan,” she says. “For so long I decided to have what I have now, this family, that it’s logical for me to feel divided. A part of me – well, all of me – wants to be with them all the time and be a housewife. But there’s another part of me that still wants to make music and that’s still pleased with success. I won’t deny it. I know it sometimes sounds almost immoral to admit you like success, but I like it — I like it.”
