Shark Bite – Cocktail of the Week

This week, the big news is about Mary Lee's return to the Jersey Shore!

What better way to tip our hat to our new favorite girl than with the cocktail of the week?

There are two different ways to make the Shark Bite, so use whichever recipe sounds good to you!

The basic premise is that it looks like blood in the water! Bonus points to you if you have a plastic shark for added effect.

Ingredients:

• 1.5 oz. spiced rum
• 1.5 oz. light rum
• .75 oz blue curacao
• 2 oz. sour mix
• a few drops of grenadine, to garnish

Shake the rum, curacao, and sour mix with ice, and pour into a glass - I love making this in a big, round balloon wine glass...but that's just a presentation thing! Add a couple of drops of grenadine for the 'blood'! Shaaaaark!

**For the second recipe, simply swap 1.5 oz each of vodka and lemon-flavored rum for the light and spiced rums. Follow the rest of the recipe as listed.**

Switch it up:

Try coconut rum or vodka instead of plain.
Add a splash of club soda for a little fizz. (shark bubbles!)
