A popular Monmouth County farm market is opening a new second location!

Sickles Market in Little Silver is known for it's amazing farm fresh produce and prepared deli foods, as well as the gourmet grocery items and amazing garden center.

RedBankGreen reports that Sickles Market is planning to open up a second store (name unknown) in Red Bank, right across from the train station.

Developer Metrovation is behind the project, which will take over an abandoned building at the corner of Monmouth St. and Bridge Ave., putting an addition on the building, and giving the whole space a makeover. Metrovation is the owner of The Grove/Grove West in Shrewsbury and the new West Side Lofts in Red Bank.

Special Red Bank bonus: they'll have their own parking lot.

The new market won't have the full garden center, but they will have the produce, deli counter, meat counter, AND a fresh fish counter.

The only bad thing? The store is not expected to open until late 2017. I don't want to wait that long!

I'm really excited to see all kinds of new development on the west side of Red Bank...it's a great part of town.
