Snooki Tweets Back At Pelican Island Residents

Snooki fires the latest shot in the war of words with Pelican Island residents who don't want her to take a summer vacation in a rented home there.

Pelican Island residents last night informed the Berkeley Township council they have hired a lawyer to fight MTV's rental of a home for  Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her family along with MTV roommate Jennifer “J-Woww” to spend their summer vacation for their MTV series “Snooki and JWoww."

After reading the Star Ledger's coverage of the meeting, Polizzi took residents concerns as an attack on her family. "Insult my son & fiancé, and I will go mama bear on your ass," she tweeted.

@AshleyBelke, who describes herself as a "Jersey girl with a love for country music" tried explaining that the objection people in Pelican Island have is that "you bring the wrong crowd with your actions. And a simple town shouldn't have to deal with trash."

Snooki replied,  "If the wrong crowd is family and you call that trash than girlllll, I pray for you. This isn't Jersey Shore anymore."

Polizzi later tweeted a picture of her son with a broom and the comment "Lorenzo sweeping away the haters. That's my boy!!" and a letter to her fans.

I just have to tell all my fans and supporters how much your positivity means to me. There is so much hate in this world, and your positivity and love you show to me is beyond rewarding. I want to say thank you for always believing in me, always sticking up for me, and most of all, always showing love and never letting the haters phase you. You’re all my best friends even if we haven’t met yet, we’re besties for life because we have each other’s back no matter what. Many residents are concerned about the extra traffic and visitors that would be attracted to Pelican Island as they continue to clean up from Superstorm Sandy. The production company for  “Snooki and JWoww" and "Jersey Shore" have agreed to pick up the cost of extra security while the show films.
