As reported by 94.3 The Point, a massive 5 alarm fire ripped through the West End section of Long Branch on Monday. Residents and fire fighters say this is the worst fire the township has had since the pier fire…which occurred in 1987. Thankfully there were no casualties, but the fire took down a dance studio where the blaze started, an apartment complex that housed 12 and another building. A local and legendary restaurant has stepped up in a big way to aid the Long Branch residents that were left homeless and the businesses that were hurt.Here's How You Can Help:

Both WindMill locations in Long Branch will donate 50% of their sales to the West End Fire Relief Fund on Monday night,February 20, from 5-8 pm. This fund has been setup to assist business’ and residents affected by the fire.

In addition, household items may be dropped off at West End Fire House on Second Avenue between the hours of 2 and 5 PM.Gift cards, & checks (made out to West End Fire Relief Fund) and cash dropped off at Central Jersey Bank, 627 Second Avenue attention Carol Feldman.
