This weekend will be about celebrating the red, white, and blue...and to help, we have TWO cocktails this week!

The first drink is mostly for show...the second has the looks and the goods to back it up!

Ingredients:

.5 oz grenadine
.5 oz cream
.5 oz blue curacao

Start by pouring the grenadine into a shot glass. Then slowly pour the cream over the back of a bar spoon to layer it over the grenadine. Do the same with the blue curacao.

Tasty? Meh. But pretty and patriotic-looking! You could go all out by topping it with a bit of whipped cream and those red, white, and blue star sprinkles.

One of my favorite cocktails, you could make this just as pretty by adding the juices separately and throwing in a handful of blueberries!

Ingredients:

2 oz. Absolut vodka
2 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. white grapefruit juice
lime wedge, to garnish
fresh blueberries, to garnish.

Pour all ingredients over ice and stir. Garnish with the blueberries and lime. Voila!

Switch it up:

Use a flavored vodka, like Absolut Ruby Red or Absolut Kurant.
Add more or less vodka or juice to suit your tastes.
Give it a little fizz with a splash of club soda or lemon-lime soda.
