Hundreds of mourners gathered Thursday for the funeral of Cristina LoBrutto one of the two employees gunned down by a co-worker at a New Jersey supermarket.

A priest offered words of comfort for family and friends at the funeral of 18 year old. “She would want you to know she’s OK,” said the Rev. Jack C. Grimes at the Roman Catholic church reports the Star Ledger.  “She’s with God and he’s keeping her company.”

Over 1500 mourners came to Cristina LoBrutto’s wake on Wednesday night,  many wearing purple, one of the colors of Old Bridge High School where she graduated from in June reports the Star Ledger.

Fatima Dyson, the sister of gunman Terence Tyler  is grateful to the community for being kind to her in the wake of her brother’s actions. “If this had happened anywhere else, I’d have to move,” she told the Star Ledger. She says she has expressed her sorrow to the families of LoBrutto and Bryan Breen “public and personally through someone else.”
