Suspect in Lakewood Home Burglary Spree Pleads Guilty

The Lakewood 27-year-old who Monday admitted his role in 11 home burglaries in the township over roughly 12 weeks heads for an August 15 sentencing date.

Alihbo Rosado pleaded guilty to abetting the lootings that began in October 2013 and continued until January 2014, according to information from the office of Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.

Rosado admitted taking part in burglaries on East Spruce, Spruce, Murray and Rudwin Streets, Cypress Avenue, Hearthstone, North and Magnolia Drives, and Milton and Squankum Roads.

He admitted standing lookout while his brother and co-defendant, Matthew A. Rosado, 25, looted the homes, authorities said. He was accused of splitting the goods and pawning various items.

Matthew Rosado pleaded guilty on May 27 of this year.

According to the Prosecutor's office, Rosado has been in jail since his arrest, unable to post $232,500 bail that included an option for release on payment of 10 percent.

Assistant Prosecutor Ehsan F. Chowdhry seeks a five-year prison term, a year of parole, restitution to all victims on request and no contact with any victims.
