An SUV struck two teenage pedestrians crossing a road in Brick injuring two boys, one of them critically.

Brick Police say Nancy Rothenberg of Brick was driving southbound on Brick Boulevard  when four boys began to cross the road at Chambers Bridge Road. Authorities say the light turned green for southbound traffic as the boys crossed into the Rosenberg's lane.

The woman tried to stop her 2006 Mercury Mariner but didn't have enough time and struck two of the boys.

A 15-year-old Brick boy was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center with head trauma and internal injuries. He's in critical condition.

A 14-year-old Brick boy was taken to the same hospital with internal and facial injuries.

Police are investigating the crash.
