With so many of our neighbors in need, you may be thinking, "What can I do to help?". How about coordinating a food drive in your neighborhood to help the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties!
I didn't know Darren Arms, owner of Colonial Ranch Market in Point Pleasant Boro, very long. We only met about 5 years ago, but I'm glad I met him.
Tis the season, and now it's mere weeks away. With all that we've been through here at the Shore, November was just a blur. So here we are, knocking on December's door.
This morning, we had a chance to meet and talk to this year's Arthritis Foundation Youth Honoree, 4 year old Sadie Ribot, along with her mom, Melissa and this year's medical honoree, Dr. Dickerson, as well as Director of Community Development, Katy Bazerque. It was great spending time with them and was a real inspiration to want to help the Arthritis Foundation..and you can, by being part of the 2012 Arthritis Foundation Walk.
When the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties asked me to fill in for my good friend Big Joe Henry as master of ceremonies for their Humanitarian Gala, May 4th at Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale, I was thrilled. I know how committed Joe is to that great organization, and I am as well.
Once again I was able to see first hand how incredibly generous the wonderful people of Monmouth and Ocean counties can be when it comes to helping a great cause, like the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
I am proud to be the master of ceremonies this Sunday for the "3rd Annual Auction of Hope" at the Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood, benefitting the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Last year Diane and I had an amazing time at the 44th annual American Cancer Society Cancer Ball. If you were there, you know that it was an incredible heartfelt evening for a great cause. This year's event, as you heard on the morning show this morning is set for June 9th in Rumson.
The Ashley Lauren Foundation is an organization that works tirelessly to help New Jersey children and their families who are facing pediatric cancer. Many times I have seen their committment to those kids and their families first hand and it is inspiring and very important.
I have been hosting the Childhood Leukemia Foundation Auction of Hope for a few years now, and it's a great event for a wonderful organization. I'm so proud to be a part of it. It takes place sunday, April 15th at Woodlake Country Club in Lakewood, and features a terrific brunch.
