Monmouth County Library System Helps FoodBank Of Monmouth & Ocean Counties

If you have some books that are overdue at a Monmouth County Library, it could be good news for you and the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties! The Monmouth County Library System has announced that throughout the month of April( April 2nd to April 30th), they will deduct $2 from your late fees for each donation of a non perishable food item you make, according to patch.com.

Great Event In Point Pleasant Today Helps Ashley Lauren Foundation

My first real exposure to the Ashley Lauren Foundation was at the Giants practice facility where I saw the Foundation give New Jersey kids battling cancer a chance to meet their favorite football heroes, including Eli Manning. It was amazing to see their faces, and it was there I first met Mark Levine. Mark was a young boy who had passion for many things, including burgers. I was also fortunate enough to be there when the Foundation was able to grant his wish of meeting Bobby Flay.

I stepped outside the Headliner last night during Pointsettia Bash, and I saw the crew from Emmanuel Cancer Foundation loading a truck full of toys that so many of you donated on your way into the show. It is a heartwarming moment for me each year and it never ceases to amaze me. Time after time and year after year, you, the residents of the Jersey Shore, are asked to help out so many charities. And year after year you come through.
