It's the Madison Beggs Kicks 4 Kids 1st Annual Soccer Marathon in memory of Madison, who lost her 22 month battle with brain cancer this past June. Madison was an inspirational girl whose incredibly positive attitude during her courageous battle led to the motto "one day at a time" and now her friends and loved ones have created a great tribute to Madison with the soccer marathon.
This Wednesday, you can get a massage or facial at Massage Envy and a donation will be made to the Arthritis Foundation!
It's always one of the most amazing events of the year, and this year promises to be as well. The American Cancer Society's "Making Strides" Walk is fast approaching all over the state, including the one in Point Pleasant Beach (the largest in the state) set for Sunday October 21st at Arnold and Ocean Avenues.
"Walk With Joe" is a very touching tribute to those lost on 9/11. It is named for Joe Driscoll, a longtime Manalapan resident, who was on Flight 93. The event took place this past Saturday morning at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, and I was proud to be there.
