Hometown Heroes

Our friends at Hometown Heroes, the 501(c3) non-profit that helped countless families and business recover after Hurricane Sandy, suffered their own tragedy this morning, and they need our help.

The overnight fire that ravaged several Robbins St. businesses in Toms River destroyed the office of Hometown Heroes, a charity that has been helping so many Jersey Shore residents in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

It was a great night last night at the Restore The Shore Wine Tasting event to benefit Hometown Heroes.

As we have been reporting to you since Sandy made it's way onto our shores, Hometown Heroes has been working tirelessly to help our area recover.

As the anniversary of the day that changed everything for so many people along the Jersey Shore arrives, you may be trying to figure out what to do to respectfully commemorate the date.

Sandycastle on Point Pleasant Beach has become a symbol of rebuilding for so many people along the Jersey Shore, and yesterday, it had it's official ribbon cutting ceremony.

During our live broadcast from Jenkinson's Boardwalk yesterday, we had a chance to visit Sandy Castle. It is an amazing sight.

You can help Hometown Heroes help our neighbors recover from Sandy by attending a comedy show this Sunday at Hemingway's Café.
