A lot of stores are taking a stand for their employees by closing on Black Friday, but unfortunately for one local grocery store, those doors will stay closed permanently.

The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc., operators of A&P and Pathmark announced today that they are filing for bankruptcy and that three of their Shore supermarkets are closing.
