You've probably heard us talking on the air about our new studio. Well, today is the first day we're broadcasting from here. The first thing I noticed is my distance from Liz. In the old studio it was a comfortable 12 feet 4 inches (yes I measured). In the new studio, she's less than 6 feet away. It might be only six feet to you, but it's a world to us.
Job interviews seem to be a breeding ground for embarrassing stories. One time many years ago, I went on a job audition in the city and thought I nailed it. I went into the studio and read a few things and I was feeling pretty good. When I left the studio I headed to the lobby, where someone came up to me and asked if I knew how to use the subway system. I thought it was to check my knowledge of the city. It wasn't .

As the year comes to a close, I've been thinking about some memorable moments at The Point from 2011. This video instantly came to mind. Lou & Liz were nice enough to get Laurie Cataldo a red velvet cupcake for her birthday. But they made her work for it. Enjoy!
