When we had Joe Basile on the morning show last week, he was excited that his movie, "West End" was going to premiere at the Garden State Film Festival. I'm sure he's even more excited now that the movie was given the "People's Choice Award".

I love my mother, but I'm scared of "Mama". Anytime the trailer of a movie keeps me awake, you can bet I'm gonna skip that flick. I may be the only one, though, since "Mama" topped the box office this weekend.

One thing is for sure about this poll. There is no correct answer. Each of us has that movie that just screams Christmas.

The big new movie out this weekend is Total Recall, with Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Beil. It's expected to be a big opening weekend, but will it be big enough to take the top spot from Dark Knight Rises?

This would be the day that I would normally recap the top movies at the weekend box office, but this week that doesn't matter. The senseless tragedy in Aurora is the the only thing weighing on our minds.

It wasn't exactly a bold prediction. I didn't exactly turn the cinema world upside down with my Amazing Spiderman prediction, but after over a month of getting it wrong, I'm going to enjoy being right for a change.

You had to know by now that when I predicted Magic Mike would take the top spot at the box office this weekend that it was doomed to fail. It was beaten by a stuffed animal. I'm starting to take this personally!
