Last weekend, Diane and I went to choose the tree we'd decorate in the front yard this year. We picked a beauty, brought it home and I set it in place. Monday, I picked up the lights and some outside decorations and got to work. The lights worked on the first try, the decorations were perfect and I was done in 45 minutes. Perfect! But that tree wasn't done with me.

It's another holiday weekend. Time to decorate! Inevitably, there's going to be some stress, right? Anything from broken decorations to faulty lights can set you off. So, is there anything you can do to ease the tension? Yahoo.com reports that Christmas Decor president Blake Smith says yes there is. Among his suggestions, use quality products, keep it simple and have a plan. My wife and I decorated last weekend and I did something that helped alot. It didn't make Blake's list, but I'll share it with you anyway.

A report in the Dayton Business Journal confirms what we probably already know. 34% of managers think workers are less productive this week with Thanksgiving just a couple of days away. But there is some good news for workers. That number is down from 44% in 2005, so either we're working harder, or our manager just thinks we are!
