what the garden state parkway looked like when it opened

There has always been a constant in New Jersey: traffic. It's hard to believe how people got around pre-GSP. I found this really cool vintage video from 1952 that was released by the New Jersey Highway Authority touting the benefits of "Your Garden State Parkway."
