Target Reports Potentially Huge Data Breach

If you used your credit or debit card at Target between November 27th and December 15th, your info may have been exposed.

Target reports that 40 million accounts may be affected by this security breach. According to foxnews.com, Target immediately contacted authorities upon discovery of the problem.

We all were busy with the hustle and bustle of shopping and so many of us were shopping during that time period, obviously on of the busiest shopping periods of the year, so please check your account. Target advises that if you detect suspicious activity on your account you should contact them immediately by calling 866-852-8680.

According to yahoo.com, it is unclear if the this breach includes PIN numbers associated with the debit cards used, but if it does, those responsible for the hacking may be able to make cash withdrawals.
