A popular restaurant chain is opening a new location at the Jersey Shore!

The Asbury Park Press reports that Texas Roadhouse will open on Rt. 35 in Holmdel, in the Holmdel Towne Center just north of Laurel Ave.

The restaurant will take the spot once occupied by a sushi and hibachi restaurant next to Chili's. The existing building was demolished and is currently being rebuilt.

Currently, the only Texas Roadhouse close to our area is on Rt. 9 in Old Bridge, so it'll be nice to have another option!

If you've never been one of these, it's western-themed, and a fairly typical chain steakhouse, offering various kinds of steak, ribs, chicken, burgers, etc., with entrees ranging from $10 - $30.

The first thing you'll probably notice when you walk in is the peanut shells all over the floor, because they place free buckets of peanuts all over the place. (Sorry, allergy sufferers...this place is NOT for you.)

You also need to try the rolls...ridiculously buttery, flaky goodness!

The restaurant is expected to open in late October.
