I'm not an architect or anything, but my visit to Asbury Park this weekend for the Garden State Film Festival reminded me how much I love some of the amazing buildings and history in Asbury Park.I actually started thinking about it as we were sitting in the Paramount Theater waiting for the movie to start. Iooked up and saw the amazing detail work around the stage area and ceiling. I apologize to the architects and architecture students out there because I don't know what it's called, but I do love it.

Then as Diane and I were leaving the theater and walking by the Berkeley Hotel, I looked up again and thought about how beautful that building is and how amazing it must have been when it first opened.

I turned around and looked at Convention Hall with the "Greetings From Asbury Park" lights above, glanced at the huge crowd of people in town for the Film Festival, and I was happy about that. It's a great spot.
