Mary Kay Andrews is coming to the Jersey Shore to launch her new novel The Weekenders at an event to benefit the Rumson-based charity Bridge of Books Foundation. Mary Kay Andrews has been called 'the belle of the beach read' and, if there was a literary genre dedicated to beach books, she would be one of the first authors to come to mind. With a stack of New York Times bestsellers to her credit, Mary Kay Andrews' latest book, The Weekenders, is now available.

At this event, Mary Kay Andrews will discuss her latest book in the elegant upstairs event space at Nauvoo, followed by a question-and-answer session, book signing, and the chance to mingle, chat, and pose for photos with the bestselling author.

Abby Daly, the founder of Bridge of Books Foundation, will also be on hand to discuss the inspiring work her charity has been doing to benefit underprivileged NJ kids. And there will be a variety of Mary Kay Andrews' books for sale, along with a selection of children's books, available for purchase so that attendees can donate them directly to Bridge of Books. For more info on this great non-profit, CLICK HERE.

Some people stay all summer long on the idyllic island of Belle Isle, North Carolina. Others come only for the weekends -- and the mix between the regulars and 'the weekenders' can sometimes make sparks fly. Riley Griggs has a season of good times with friends and family ahead of her on Belle Isle when things take an unexpected turn. While waiting for her husband to arrive on the ferry one Friday afternoon, Riley is confronted by a process server who thrusts papers into her hand. And her husband is nowhere to be found.

So she turns to her island friends for help and support, but it turns out that each of them has their own secrets, and the clock is ticking as the mystery deepens...in a murderous way. Cocktail parties aside, Riley must find a way to investigate the secrets of Belle Island, the husband she might not really know, and the summer that could change everything.
