If you're like me and don't get nearly enough sleep at night and then you have to get up much too early to make it through the entire day without a nap...caffeine naps are the way to go!

Instead of that drowsy feeling you get trying to wake up from a nap, scientists say if you caffeinate right before your 20 minute nap, you will wake up ready to go and more alert!

It's the COMBO of caffeine with a short nap chaser that does the trick. It works better than just a cup of coffee...and it works better than just a nap.

You might think, from what you know about caffeine, that napping after coffee is a contradiction, but that's not true. Turns out that it takes about 20 minutes for the caffeine to kick in. So that gives you 20 minutes to rest, followed by waking up more refreshed at the time the caffeine kicks in!

There is a lot of scientific stuff behind this theory that you can read about by CLICKING HERE!

So here's how you do it. Drink a cup of coffee. (You could drink tea or soda, but they generally have less caffeine, and energy drinks aren't that good for you.) You need to drink it quickly to give yourself a good window of time to sleep as it goes through your system. So if you can't drink hot coffee fast, go with an iced coffee or espresso.

Right after you're done drinking, immediately try to go to sleep. And you dont' even have to worry if you can't totally fall asleep. Reaching a tranquil half-sleep is still helpful!  Then make sure you wake up within 20 minutes just as the caffeine is entering your brain but  before you enter that deep sleep stage.

I'm trying it today!
