A $10 cover charge will go to support The Peoples Pantry, which originated after Superstorm Sandy when it became apparent that there were many Ocean County residents hiding their struggle with food insecurity.

There are many locals who continue to be challenged with being able to afford to feed their families. From single parents who don't have the money to provide meals for their kids on a single income, to co-workers who you might never know are living paycheck to paycheck and have to choose between rent and food.

You may even have friends and family members that you don't realize are trying to hide the fact that they are going hungry. And many of those in need don't qualify for government assistance.

One of the main goals of The Peoples Pantry is to break the stigma surrounding food insecurity and to educate others about the true prevalence of the problem. In fact, food insecurity affects over 79,000 residents in Ocean County alone.
