On Friday (May 17, 2013) the downtown, west side and Main Street will be open and ready for visitors, with a ribbon cutting for the new West Side Train Station signage. A free reception will be held at the Asbury Park Transportation Center with music and refreshments.

The Asbury Park Mayor's Ball Foundation will be awarding summer program grants to The Asbury Park Little League, the Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County and the SummerTime Surf School.

On Saturday from 11 am - 2:30 pm it's the Grand Re-Opening of the Asbury Park Boardwalk and ribbon-cutting ceremony. THE FIRST 1,000 FANS WILL RECEIVE AN ASBURY PARK 2013 DAILY BEACH BADGE!!!!! (Limit one daily per family with valid email address, first come first served ,must be used in 2013 summer season) courtesy of the City of Asbury Park.

The Asbury Park Music Boardwalk of Fame 2013 Asbury Angels plaques will be unveiled as well as the re-installation of the plaques dedicated in September 2012 and rescued the day after Superstorm Sandy. Visit the Musical Heritage Foundation gallery space at 708 Cookman Ave. to see the current Asbury Angels Exhibition.
