This is one of the most fun events I've attended. I don't even own a dog..but I love to go pet them all!!! It's the 19th annual Monmouth County SPCA Dog Walk and Pet Fair -- a great day of bonding with your dog at a giant, fabulous Dog Walk (and playdate!)

The "Grateful" Dog Walk and Pet Fair is Saturday, October 6th, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Brookdale Community College.

Last year's walk attracted almost 2,000 people and their pets, and raised over $120,000 for the homeless animals cared for by the Monmouth County SPCA.

While strolling the campus with your dog, here are some of the great things you'll be able to see and do: Meet Elwood -- winner of the 2007  World's Ugliest Dog Contest, dress your dog up for the highly anticipated Costume Contest, WOOFstock-themed music and activities, vendors and shopping for both people and pets, games and activities for the kids, on-site adoptions, and food/refreshments for people and their pets. Also, some brand new demonstrations, contests and more....and, this year, an extra hour of fun!

You can register online for this year's Dog Walk at www.mcspcadogwalk.org

AND,  if you'd like to see YOUR DOG in the logo for next year's Dog Walk and Pet Fair, register online and set up a free fundraising page to start collecting pledges from friends and family on behalf of your dog. (You don't even have to attend the Walk to participate!)

Collect the most pledges and your dog will be featured as the 2013 Honorary Chairdog in next year's logo, on t-shirts, bandanas, promos and billboards throughout Monmouth County!
