The Jersey Shore’s Heart Breaks A Little More

I drove past the site of the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn fire Saturday and my heart just broke. It's the site of yet another tragedy here at the Jersey Shore.

No one needs to remind us that the past two years at the Jersey Shore have brought too many tragic moments, including the terrible loss at the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn to the devastation of Sandy to the Seaside boardwalk fire

We are certainly strong people here at the Jersey Shore, but we seem to be continually tested. We have had to deal with more than our share of heartbreak. I felt the need, as many others did, to stop my car on Saturday and say a prayer for those who were lost in the tragic Point Beach fire and their families.

Of course, the people and  businesses of Point Pleasant beach and surrounding areas have stepped up to help however they can.
