You've probably heard about flash mobs, but what about 'cash mobs'?

It's an effort to help out local businesses and bring communities together, and it could be coming to a town (or a newsfeed) near you.

So what is it? Cash mobs are organized by either business owners or citizens. The organizer will tell participants to go to a certain local business and spend a certain dollar amount (For example, "Go to ABC Flower Shop on Main St. in Belmar and spend $20!"). That turns the business into both a shopping destination and a social event.

The purpose is to give a boost to businesses to stimulate the local economy.

It's a pretty interesting idea.

Are cash mobs a good idea? Where would you like to see one? Comment below!
